Beaver Scouts are the first and youngest section in the scouting family, and are young boys and girls usually aged between six and eight years old.
They meet weekly to take part in a wide range of activities including games, crafts, singing, visits and good turns, along with plenty of outdoor activities. Our two Beaver colonies are a friendly and active place for your child to join to make friends and have fun!
They will also have the opportunity to take part in the fun and excitement of camps and sleepovers. It may be the first time they spend a night away from home so it’s a real adventure for them.
What do Beavers do?
All sorts of things!
We are an active colony so we try to do as many different things as possible. We do activities inside our regular meeting place, go on day visits, and even have occasional sleepovers!
We play games, do crafts, make new friends, explore the outdoors, create things and eventually when the beavers become 8 years old, they move up to cubs.
Uniform
Our beavers take part in lots of activities that go towards various “activity” and “challenge” badges. Please sew them onto the beaver’s jumper when your beaver is awarded with the badges. Below is a diagram showing where they should go.
